Personally I'd make sure to get a TPI engine. Stay away from TBI. They don't have carbs in that year model so be glad for that. The TPI's have more stock HP then the TBI's do. And they are more reliable. As far as the rest of it goes the options are all up to you. It depends on what you want. If you like T-Tops and so fourth If you do like t-tops I'll give you one piece of advice. Do *NOT* get the plastic ones. Only get the glass ones. The Plastic ones look cheap and they bubble/dome out. I have heard they leak more also. If you want alot of other options like leather and power seats and what not look for a Trans-AM GTA. But expect to spend alot on it. GTA's above 1990 still cost quite a bit.

Like said, I wouldn't get a TBI one, look for TPI, 350 TPI if you're more concerned with speed.

Mark, I'm surprised at you. There was no TBI T/A in '92, they were all TPI.:nono: .
Later, and Good Luck, Garrett

There's also no factory T-top 350 cars for '91-'92. '92 T/A's and GTA are both quite rare. There was something like only 1100 T/A's and 228 GTA's. I am sure someone from the History board can attest to that. It's a lot easier finding the '91's for sale.

There were 350 T tops formulas. If I am not mistaken all 305 GTAs were 5 speed. Good luck

I stand corrected. I never knew that there were T-top 350 Formulas in '92. I found mention of it on the GTA source page.

Beginning in 1991, no Firebird with the L98 motor could be equipped with the T-Top roof (except for the 1992 Formula with the 16' x 8" PW7 diamond-spoke wheels........?), so only the 5.0L GTAs could have them installed.
