Is this a 'vette motor??
I'm considering my options as far as a crate motor vs rebuilding what I have. I think this may be a vette L98, but the price seems to good to be so. Regardless, this vendor seems to have good prices. Can anyone tell me if this is a L98 vette motor??

What gets me is those heads look like L31/LT1 heads. It also says SFI at the top, but nothing from 87-92 had SFI.
ok you are right! my 95 LT1 has those same numbers on the heads and the block but mine is a 4bolt main, I know for a fact the LT1 from the vette had a 4bolt and the Fbody had a 2bolt but was not positive on the L98

The L98 from the vette was a two bolt also. I swapped one into my last GTA. Had to change the pan for the swap.

Some Vette L98s had 4 bolts but I can't remember what the deal was with how some got them and some didn't, but I have seen them in 2 and 4 bolt main versions.

i have a vette l98 and also had to change the oil pan, the sump is too long. also you'll need to get a camaro oil pickup and not vette cuz the bend in the tube is sharper in the camaro one to clear the shorter sump. damn, i paid a grand for mine with 100k on it, wish i'd seen that before. i ended up parting the tpi out and got $400 back.
