replaced plugs now idle feels rough
I just replaced my spark plug with bosch platnum when I started the car for the first time the idle felt rough. do they take a while to get worked in? does it take time from the computer to recognize them? did I not properly connect the boot or did screw the plug all the way in?
I unplugged the battery before I started
the car accelerates good no problem there just the idle.
any one ever had a similar situation help is greatly appreciated

I tried those bosh plat plugs and the +4's I had a problem where it would idle weird or if you rev'ed it up a little and let of the gas it would miss, or it didnt have good performance. I switched to the cheap autolites and it fixed everything, id try picking up a set of the 0.99 autolites seeing if that fixes it.
Any new plug should work well enough that the car runs smoothly. Check the plugs to make sure they are tight, the wires are on correctly and not burned through, and make sure the wires are on in the correct order. That's all I can think of. If this doesn't work you may have a defective plug or one that's gap got closed off when dropped or put in.

if you had the computer unplugged for awhile, you have to drive her so the computer can "re-learn" what its supposed to do. i just did a full tune up on my TA and i had the battery unplugged for a few hours. when i started her she idled alittle rough, not too bad, but still noticable. they say to drive above 40mph for 20 mins to let the computer catch up. just my idea... also make sure all your wire connections, both at the plugs and the dist are secure. hope it helps.

Check the wires to make sure that they are attched properly. I've had the samething happen a few times on me. The car would have a slight miss in it and just run rough generally.. So I checked the wires and one was sorta half way on there. Popped back on and all was well again..

The same like ghetocruiser said.
The IAC has 256 positions (steps), these steps varies from 0 to 255 between 0 to 40 MPH (app. 65 KMH). Your IAC and ECM needs "re-learn" and review the 256 steps before the normal idle return (= run the car from 0 to 40 MPH, then continue over this speed for a short time).
Then, if you fix this first problem, you can search for others possibilities (if the bad idle continue).

It's not your wires, it's not your cap, it's not your rotor, it's the plugs, i spent $48 on a set of platinum+4's, they ran like crap, replaced every other part of the ignition, still didn't help, went to ac rapidfires and it turned right over, every cylinder fired, idled smooth. I have no idea why, but it seems like 4bangers are the only ones that can make bosch's work.
