How much would you pay for aluminum heads?

I'm specifically talking about the vette heads. I realize these aren't the best flowing head, so I realize at some pt, the cost effectiveness of it will dwindle.

So, how much would you pay for a set of these, considering there are no problems with them?

I got my set used for $400 complete with rocker arms. The set you posted earlier look pretty good, just need a clean up. I don't think I'd pay any more than what I payed.

I've found around here that they're worth a million dollars because they came from a Vette.

Yeah, no more than 450-500. They are decent heads with some porting.

Vette heads are good with porting

An 89 350 forlula got into the 12s with the SLP prepped l98 heads from a vette. He used that in conjunction with SLPs strongest street legal cam. it was in the August issue of Hot rod.
Here are the specs on the engine that got into the 10s...11s without the 125 shot.

Stock longblock (pistons rods crank)
Accel superram and TPIS big mouth lower intake manifold w 52mm throttle body, original 22lb/hr injectors, FPR, CLP cold air box.
Vette heads w 58cc chambers (milled .025 and ported by SLP)
2.00, 1.58 valves
SLP (51010) stock hydraulic roller w .49/.510 lift and 224/232 duration.
Comp 1.46 dual valvesprings
Stock distrib w MSD 6a and blaster coil.
10 degrees initial and 36 total timing
Hooker Super comp long tubes 1 5/8 headers, 3" tubing w/ Dr gas x pipe and 40 series delta Flow mufflers

11.7 w/o nos
10.9 w nos
On drag slicks and skinnies

TRANNY
original 700R-4 w SLP shift kit, nine clutch pack third gear
2800 Tq converter w 3400 RPM flash
SLP alum driveshaft
Currie built Ford 9 inch w 4.11 gears, 31 spline allow axles

Drag shocks airlift airbags
3128 lbs w driver

Before this guy opted for true duals (non street legal) he was running 12.1 wo the juice.
That is something to go off of for a guy who can drive his car to the track easily. OH...MANUAL STEERING
