Will not turn over
Hey guys I am looking for help on this problem. I have a 1989 Camaro however all computer controlls are removed. Now a Holly fed 350 with HEI. Here is the problem,,,,
I just completed a cam swap and was getting it started to get the timing set........Well to find out I was off on thiming so when I got it set correctly I went back and hit the key and NOTHING>.............I got POWER to everything (radio...in tank fuel pump......blower motor....) I hit the key and nothing. The battery is full and I have checked every fuse link on the starter.........I touched the starter + to the silinoid and the starter will kick over manually???????????? I posted this on the electronics board but not getting any feedback.
HELP

Ede..........keep them coming but when I strike a screwdriver across the starter posts the starter kicks in and out. The timing was at about 10* atdc but it is correct now guessing about 0 to 4* BTDC

Where is the the vats relay....The computer is completely removed, so I would imagine the vats is not working. Yeah It was cranking over as I was correcting the timing and then I hit the key one more time and then there was nothing...........I am not using a park neutral switch since I I have switched to a B&M years back. This thing just poped up!!!!!! Is there a starter relay or something else I need to check
Thanks Guys

WAG here 2 things solenoid is bad or possibly the ignition switch decided to crapout on ya. Ok 3 things. Check the ignition fuse in the fuse box along with anything else starter or ignition related.
