This sounds sooo dumb, but can somebody tell me how to get the stock windshield wiper blades off? I just bought some new Bosch blades for my car (not refils) and I cant for the life of me get the old of ones off. I have a big storm coming and i dont think the stock blades were ever replaced. Help anybody?!?!?
thanks,

Kind of hard to explain, but I believe there is a tab that you need to flip out, in order to get them off. Just takes some playing around with.

Right in the center where the 2 pins or so are, I'm going off of memory here, sorry. I had to use my keys to open the clasp/lever whatever you want to call it, and it folds out.

oh, ok... where the arm attaches to the blade, there should be a small plastic clip on the underside of the blade that needs to be pressed in. after doing this, the blade should release if you move it back towards the arm.

Okay I spoke entirely way too soon. They dont come off. I almost broke it trying to get the old blade back in. There is a spring and a retainer clip that holsds everything on. The only thing i guess that can be done is buy blade refills.

my car's not here and i can't remember which type of attachment our cars have but there are only two different ones. i've made a drawing of each type. if you have the type on the left, there's a metal pin that goes through the wiper and you just have to stick a screwdriver between the wipder and the arm as close as you can to the pin and twist, it'll pop right off and the new just snaps back in place. if you have the type on the right, there's a hook in the wiper arm with a hole at the tip. the wiper slides into this hook and snaps in place with a tab/clip and you need to push on the little tab from the bottom side of the wiper, above the rubber but below the metal part.

I had the same problem. After messing with the stupid things for a good 15 minutes, I just said srew it and grabbed the hacksaw off the wall. Took no time at all after that. Just be careful not to cut anything you're not taking off.
Mine were being stubborn so i went at it with a pair of plyers and a screw driver... finally got it off ...
Jesus Mark, it would be nice if i read one thread that you didn't post in yet because we all know you'll get to them all eventually
j/k

Yikes Guys!! Hacksaws? Pliers? Breaking things in half? I realize that these things can sometimes really be a PITA to replace, but no need to get THAT angry!!
Thank you Dimented24x7. All you have to do is geta flat head screw driver and place it inbetween the wiper and arm. Turn the screwdriver so it forces the wiper up......then just pull it off. Thanks again.
