Who's the best engine shop in/near Detroit?

I'm planning on building a 395 for my '87 IROCZ. Who has the best engine shop in the Detroit/Toledo area????

Does anybody have experience with engine shops in this area?

Hot rod magazines web site has a list of trusted shops. go there and select michigan and see if there are any shops for detroit. also check the boards for the michigan area. you will find most people who live in MI on that board.

Nu-tek in findlay was featured in GMHTP magazine in november, but I have never personally dealt with them. Looks like a nice shop, the article says to ask for nick. 866-77-NUTEK
www.nu-tekmotorsports.

I have personally used Poes machine shop in adrian michigan, which does a very quality job, ask for jason.

OK, I give up. What is your problem *****?

Camaro_1983 and 89blueTA, thank you for your comments.

I've been trying to locate that Findley, Ohio shop. That link is not working for me right now. I have the November issue of GMHTP, I will reread the article once I can find the magazine.

its about 10 miles north of Detroit, in the city of Clawson, MI.

the shop is pretty big, they do a lot of high performance work.

Unfortunatly the michigan crew is delegated to the midwest board, even though we are not listed under its heading. Hopefully if enough people post on it we can get our own board.
