Pulley Questions.....
Ok, Im wanting to buy some chrome pulleys for my motor (water pump and crankshaft). I need to know how many grooves I need on each pulley to run an alternator, power steering pump, waterpump, and air conditioning compressor?
Thanks Guys

I'm talking about grooves for each v-belt. Like the crankshaft pulley would have three, one to run the water pump, etc. Say the water pump pulley would have two grooves, one for the power steering pump, one for the alternator....See now???
I'm asking because I don't have any pulleys and I need to buy new ones.
Think before you speak!
Disregard the green circle, the pic is from another thread, I just want you to see what I am talking about.

Well, what accessories are you running?
If you have just the Water Pump, Alternator and Power steering, it's easy.
Crank- 2 groove
WP- 2 groove
PS - 1 groove
Alt - 1 groove (do they come any other way?)
Belt routing (from the block forward)
1- Crank, WP, PS
2- Crank, WP, PS
3 - Crank, WP, Alt
This should fit if you have stock (factory) acessory brackets. This is also the setup shown in the picture.
If you have A/C, too, and Factory bracketry, it goes:
Crank - 3 groove
WP- 3 groove
PS - 2 groove
Alt - 1 groove (do they come any other way?)
Belt routing (from the block forward)
1- Crank, WP, AC, PS
2- Crank, WP, PS
3 - Crank, WP, Alt

OK.... You should say stuff like that, then we'll all know the situation, and can respond appropriately.
Here's how they go, on my 83 HO car. The low-perf LG4 such as yours will look about he same, except that it has a clutch fan and a fan shroud, and it didn't come with the factory underdrive pulley that the L69 got. But the belt routing is the same.
On this car, the PS belt can't be seen, but it's the innermost one, and goes over the crank and PS only.
