:hail: hi im having a problem with my car.when i start it on and drive it up on down the street it shuts down on me and wont start on till like 5 min but will shut down again what can it be i really need help.oh by the way its an 84 v6 camaro:hail:

The next time this occurs, be prepared to investigate right away. Get a spark tester and keep it in the car, or carry a spare spark plug to check spark as soon as this occurs.

You should also be prepared to test fuel pressure or flow when this happens, so you can determine the cause of the problem. There are so many possibilities that isolating a system in this manner will save a lot of time and frustration.

I'm guessing that you have a 173 CID with TBI, correct?

 

i have the v6 2.8 carb not tpi.i rebuild the carb new module new coil new spark plug wires new fuel filter new pcv valve.but my engine seens all my vacumn's and hoses are broken or missing i need to to know what can i do to the carb or the car so it could work right and not idle so damn high and so it wont shut down no more
