i'd say big block.
sure, it'll cost $2k more, but you also get 200 more horses. a good n2o setup will cost you that. go all motor....and then spray.:lala:

Money not an issue, then don't waste it on a GM 502. Step right up to any aftermarket 540 for about the same price. There are many good packages out there. Just pick up a copy of National Dragster and look through the ads.

Money's not an issue
If money is not an issue, there is an engine combo in this months Popular Hotroddin that promises 1100Hp off a naturally asperated 632Ci. They also advertise that it'll run on 93 octane. I think it costs something like 8 or 9000.

Yeah, if money is not an issue. I too recommend something like a 632 big block or a 454 smallblock (World Products Motown block based). I like the looks of World Products stuff and if I had the money, I'd be all over one of them. The smallblock would probably be easier and still put out some WICKED power. You could even get it built for an ATI Procharger or spray it w/ a 250 shot.

****, go with the new aluminum ZL-1 427, and a 8-71 blower on top. This way it will be light as a small block and you will have that blower you want.

I don't recommend anything bigger than the 540 unless you intend to do a lot of chassis modifications. Sure it's nice to get a 632 but that's a tall deck engine and doesn't fit quite the same way.
The 540 is the biggest short deck block and will have the same dimensions as a 396, 427, 454.
Not related to F-bodies but here's a local street legal, low 10 second, blown 65 Fairlane. There's also a link on this site to a Chevelle with a 632

im not looking for a full out crazy car that im going to have to kill myself with supspension, i just want it mainly for show, a street car in the 11's or 10's that safely can do it... whats a good site for blowers? the only site i could find was holley but i don't really care for thier blowers as much as i have seen on some other cars, what are the main things i have to consider before doing this?

I know you want the big blower, but if you want to be unique (not a 300HP 305
) then get the ZL1 through www.paceparts.com
http://www.paceparts.com/product.asp?3=56150
It's only a ~$21,500 510HP 454cid
But their advertising only 200 of them are gonna be made.

couldnt tell ya what a rat motor is but i'll tell you this..... If you want mainly a show car that'll run 11s or 12s.... that is smallblock territory. Your gonna want nething from a 350-400. Id say 400.... heh just cuz it's bigger. you should run a 8-71 on one of those.... well i dunno you could probly run 10s with a blown smallblock....u pick.

exactly. SBC is called a mouse motor because of it's physical size, and a rat is bigger than a mouse. BBC is bigger than SBC, so it's a rat
