Electric Exhaust Cut-Out.....Who Has One??
I want to get an exhaust cut-out to help increase the airflow of my engine. Originally I was going to get the one with the flange that is held on with 3 wing-nuts, but then I came across the electric ones.
Does anyone have one? How is the quality on them? Do you guys think any of the parts on them would wear out any faster than a normal bolt one??
I think it would be really sweet to be able to open it up at any time and then close it just as fast.

Looks great!
How much was the McCord unit? I have seen a wide variety of prices on these things.
Does your car have a cat on it? I want to put my cut-out before the cat so mine can't be that far back. I may have to put it right before the cat because the SLP y-pipe bends right into it if I remember correctly from when I did the install.

Thanks for the compliments fella's....well....I have dual cats....but..both have been removed.....the McCord Plate cost me $100 bucks....and the cut out was like $30 bucks....so...it really wasn't to bad. The installation is pretty simple to. Jus hook it in to a power source (I used my instrument panel fuse)...and ground it......and it works perfect. It took about 2 hours to install....if you install it before the cat....you will probably have to drill a pretty good size hole in your floor board.......where I installed mine..(I pipe) there is a plugright underneath the back passenger seat.....I just had to pop it out...run all my wires through there...under the carpet.....and through my console to my swith panel. I think it's a $130 dollars well spent....

Are the wires long enough to go like through the firewall and under the car? I was thinking of doing it this way and maybe zip tying the wires to the SFC's I will be getting soon. I'm guessing maybe it's better to keep as much of the wire in the car away from the elements as possible?
