I think you'd be better off getting the 350 HO conversion/crate engine. It is a legal replacement in CA(EO #D-278) for 1982 - 87 Camaro's originally equipped with either the LG4 or L69.
It comes with everything you need to do the conversion(you supply stuff like the water pump and distributor from your old engine). Rated output is 308 hp @ 5000/ 365 lbs/ft @ 3500. Chevy claims this was enough to give an '87 Camaro a 13.83 @ 98 mph timeslip.
Check with your dealership for pricing. The p/n is 10185077. I think it will be cheaper and more powerful than the engine you are proposing.

... I would say around 250 HP...
------------------
1984 z28 w/ a 357 cu in. monster engine which is looking like the posterchild for Edelbrock... all the suspension stuff... 9-bolt posi disk is in... K&N filter... 93 octane...
I got the GO... I need the SHOW... Interior is next!

GM high performance magazine tested a 250 HP replacement engine with headers and intake manifold and pulled 262 hp at 4500 rpm.

You guys do realize that this post is 7½ years old, right?
Most likely, he's already got his new engine, and used that one up and got another, and maybe a few cars too...
It's great to use the search function; but it's a good idea to check the date on what you find. Also, check your "preference" settings, you may have them set to show OLDEST posts first, instead of NEWEST....
