Challenging engine swap

I currently own a carburated 305 in my 87 formula, but after reading the potential for these engines ive decided to ditch it. I want to put something in that would be different and a challenge to build but with a lot of potential. I already have a built 400 but im saving that for my 67 camaro. any suggestions?

LOL!! Well a 400sbc won't be much of a challenge, due to the fact it is a hopped up 350..If you really want a challenge, and have the $$$ Do a 454 BB and have some real fun!!!

Is there a lot of work in putting in a big block? What would I have to change? I may go that root but if i build an engine like that I'd rather put it in my Camaro. I was looking to make this car more of an open track car, but what would be a good car to get a big block out of if i decide to go that route?
