negative battery cable

Where does the neg. battery cable go on a 90 350, TA ? I thought that it usually went to the block, but mine wouldn't really reach. I attached it to the bottom bolt that holds the alternator/power steering bracket to the front of the motor, this did not seem right to me but it is just the right length to attach here. Also I looked at another TA at the track and as far as I could tell that is where his went, his motor was bone stock and real dirty so it was hard to tell without crawling under the car with a flashlight, I didn't have a flashlight and couldn't fit under the car anyway. My motor was apart for awhile and I had labled and marked most stuff but not this, I guess I figured I would remember how it went. This is the serpentine belt setup with the huge A/C and alt. brackets.
