After header install problems

Well got my headers on, new cat, and jerry-rigged it to my old exhaust. (new cat-back is on its way)

The car idles fine, but when you rev it up, it really bogs. The same thing happens when you drive it, if you get on it a little, it just bogs and doesnt accelerate. I'd say it has plenty of back presure, new o2 sensor, the SES came on once when i really got on it and stayed on until it died at the corner and went off when i restarted. What the heck could the problem be?? God dangit, if its not one thing its another, my mechanical confidence was going up for awhile after i got everything apart and was able to put it back together with out any major set-backs....i should have known something would fork up!!!!!

Usually when you install headers it is also a good idea to switch to a heated o2 sensor.

What kind of headers are they, and where is the O2 sensor? If it's too far from the engine, you'll need a heated sensor like trans am said.

The headers are SLP 1 5/8 and the o2 sensor is about an inch from where all four tubes come together and an inch or so from where the header meets the y pipe.

Can i get a heated sensor are the local autozone or what, i havent heard of this before.

My wires are not switched, could this be a problem with the mass air flow sensor? I'm going to get the code after class tonight. And one of my coolant lines are sittting right on the mass air sensor.

Any more ideas, headers shouldn't mess with the computer too much should they?/

The code it threw was a 44 - Oxygen sensor lean

Can the oxygen sensor cause this much trouble, I mean the car will go but its about undrivable for any distance. Does this mean i need a "heated" sensor?

thanks

How old is your O2 sensor? Did you drop it or hit it with something? What is your fuel pressure set at?

The o2 sensor is brand new, and the fuel presure is about 42psi.

thanks
