Ok first crawl under your drivers dash and look for the fuel pump fuse. It is labled. Pull it out. Then run the car till it runs out of gas.

Jack up the drivers side rear and put it on jack stands.

Fine the filter on the frame rail near the tank.

Remove and reinstall.

Easy process.

Yes. unless it hasn't been change for years and is rusted to hell and back. Then this easy process turns into work.

put a can or bin underneath it because it will drip some gas, i put a rag over it while i unscrewed it and let the can catch the gas. other then that its just unscrewing 2 nuts and install is the reverse. make sure u put it on in the right direction and to check for leaks after.

thanks---got it done--was about 3 yearrs ago I had it changed--came off pretty easily.

Pulled 3 fuses beofre I picked the right one--although one I pulled the engine idled real low--the inj fuse killed it.

Word for the wise.....gasoline in your armpit hurts!

when I changed mine I had no way to relieve the pressure because the pump was dead.

I took those lines off and there came the gas...and it wouldnt stop.

I had gas all over me. Gasoline on your scalp hurts so bad. So much gas went onto the blacktop that it ate it away. I sprayed a punch of concrete away with the water hose.

it works really well 2 wake ya up in the morning tho! about a week ago i went into work a tad hung over and the first job they gave me in the morning was a fuel pump in a jeep grand cherokee, a job i've done many times before.. i pulled it in drank a cup of coffee, then proceeded to put it up in the air and unhooked the fuel line covering myself from head to toe with gas... everyone had a pretty good laugh except me. lol

just tell them u need a fuel filter for whatever car you have. its very common part, pepboys has an isle with nothing but fuel filters. i think mine was about 8 or 9 bucks.
