Where can I get a new 400?

... with a 350 crank, and a decent set of heads... a good fuel injection setup......

Thanks,

a 400 with a 350 crank won't be a 400 anymore. 400 has more stroke, ie 400 crank in 350 = 383... So??? 350 crank in 400 = 367ish, too tired to do the bore/stroke thing. Bigger bore/stroke in 400

if u want a brand new 400 block,, u have to go with gmpp bow tie block, or old's rocket block. the regular prodution 400 block only last 10 years. y do u want to go with 350 crank? building a 377(chp did a excelent articl on 377 vs 383(350 block with 3.75 stroke)))? it's cheaper and easier to build up a 400(if u can find a used block, or be prepare to shell out $1600 for the bow tie block). cubic inches is where hp/torque come from. just my .02

Is the Bow Tie block just a bare block? No heads, no nothing?

Wheeler bros.? Do they have a web site?

Thanks so far.....

What about injection setups? I dont want a carb setup. Should I just pull the TPI setup and computer out of a 92 Z or something?

Thanks again,
Daniel

yupe bow tie block is the bare block,
go to a local swap shop, i still see pretty good 400 block(this is the production block 1970-1980) for about 500-600 dollars. the stock tpi will be too restrictive for a 400(the 350 tpi setup is the same as the 305). if you want to go with tuned port injection you have to go with either tpis mini ram, or accel super ram, or upgrad the tpi setup with biger everything(manifold, plenum, runner, throttle body etc)

No bank,
Im in planning stages. I want to know what to get, so I can start slowly buying things... I have a big garage to store stuff in.

BTW, I would really prefer to go with a new block, or newly rebuilt........
