Houston! We have problems! Help!
I do not know if this is a big problem, or what could be causeing it. When i'm driving just normal (i don't drive my car hard) cruising the strip, sometimes when i stop and then try to take off the car will stall. And by stall i meant it trys to die, then backfires and think i hammer it because i'm ticked off and it goes...no problems...
I just got a new tranny, with a 2000 stall, corvette servo, etc, etc, all my other mods are in my profile if it helps any. I know you guys have a tendency to wanna know all thats added to the engine
Thanks for anyone's help.

It best not be the fuel pump relay. I just replaced that..(i think). Maybe i'll describe it anyway, over the summer, i had problems. One day the car just died. Some relay with a rubber piece rivetted to it (about 1 1/2 - 2 1/2in.) in parameter. I called NAPA, and AutoZone. AutoZone said bring it in. So i braught it in and they said it was the fuel pump. Could that have been the wrong relay? It wasn't the cause of my problem (Neutral Safety Switch was) but it was cracked before i replaced it which is the reason i replaced it. If i could find a picture i'd post it and show you guys. Could that be the problem? (it just all of sudden popped in my head cause the sensor i got from AutoZone did not have the rubber piece rivetted on)

I was having that problem a while back. My car threw a code 54 but that wasn't the problem. It was a bad IAC. Got it replaced for under $100 with a new one. Runs just fine now.
Bran,
Most throttle tip-in hesitation problems are a symptom of lean operation or a failing or misadjusted TPS semsor. Your engine could be running lean for many reasons, and there should be other symptoms accompanying that, like hotter coolant, hard starting when warm, lack of power at cruise.
Perform the procedure for cleaning the TB and IAC passages, then set the TPS and minimum air position. You might also want to verify correct ignition timing while you're tweaking.
If the problem persists, check the fuel pressure at idle and with the FPR vacuum hose removed.

Do your self a favor and check your vacuum lines, I had a similar problem on my 92 rs 5.0 and I found 2 vacuum leaks that made the problem alot better, When I upgraded the motor and removed the intake it was clogged almost solid with carbon. Looking back Im sure that had alot to do with it...
I hope this helps...

Thanks guys, i'm going to pick up some throttle body cleaner, and i'm going to check my cap and rotor also. It doesn't necessarily have all the symptoms of what Vader said but, well backwards. When its cold out its hard to start. The lack of power at cruise is true also. Vacuum leaks was another thing i was pondering upon. Guess i'll try those things. While i'm at it, anyone know of some good injector cleaner? I heard i think its called MAX or something like that is good. Just ruleing out any and all possibilities. Also is there an article or something on how to adjust the TPS sensor and minimum airflow?
