O.K., Can you help me pull it together?
O.K., Can you help me pull it together?
I have done a few mods to my Firebird and when running the qtr mile (for my first time at the 3rdgen meet in OK) I was running mid 14's. Is this right or can I change something to take full affect of my mods? Let me list my mods:
350TPI, afpr @ 50psi, TES Headers, Flowmaster, factory dual cats (gutted), factory aluminum driveshaft, factory AC Delete, MSD6AL, Hypertech Thermomaster, K&N 1000 CFM in place of factory air box, 3.73 gears, shift kit (don't know about the shift points...it seems it waits to long to shift), and a 1" lowering kit I believe.
I also have just added 17 x 9.5 wheels as I had a lot of wheel spin. It also seemed to shake real bad on the take off, what is that and how do I fix it.
I don't want it to just be fast through the qtr mile but all around fast. The 350 has 180k on it and doesn't use any oil and hasn't ever had the valve covers off. I don't know about anything on the internals of the engine so when it comes to heads and cams I am lost.
All of your experience and help would be appreciated.

if you have the org. runner setup you may have to adjust the shiftpoints to a lower rpm. Try to adjust the wire a few "clicks" it can make a hugh diffrence, at least on my car....
