engine coolant

engine coolant

i need to drain my engine coolant out of my block but i dont know where the drain plug is and was wondering if someone can help me also if you have any pics it would help alot

Pull out the knock sensor (driver's side IIRC.)

Shop vac, duct tape and a straw.

Or look on the side of the block, driver's side. Laying on your back you should see it...........

But the shop vac is more fun.

There's one plug on the driver's side that drains that bank, and one on the pass side that drains that side. As was said, the knock sensor does double duty as the pass side coolant drain. The drain holes are just above the oil pan rail.

On my motor, all the coolant was in the oil pan. Easy to drain the block that way!
