I didn't. For what you would spend on an AFPR, you can purchase a die grinder instead, then port your plenum behind the throttle body and match the runner openings better. That will give you a bit more flow at higher RPM. The AFPR won't help much if the rest of the engine is stock, unless you have an injector flow problem.

Well, that's a different story. As long as the regulator is toast, it would only make sense to replace it with an adjustable unit. I thought you were planning to do it just for the sake of having an AFPR.

well yes i suspect the regualtor but it could be other things as well. But im gonan replace it with that. I plan on porting the plenum, turning the tps voltage up a bit(more torque), airfoil, kand ns, and perhaps a ram air stup of sum kind. How ahrd is it to set one op that wont suck in water when raining. thanks guys.

Sounds like a myth to me. I can't see how upping the voltson the throttle position sensor would affect the power output at all.

IIRC, increasing the voltage on the TPS fools the ECM into thinking the throttle is open more than it actually is. This causes it to go into Power Enrichment mode sooner. I'm not sure if that really has that much of a gain though. Maybe someone else could answer that one.

The custom Ram Air is a good "Free" mod. It helps throttle responce. You won't get much on the dyno since the car isn't moving. The fan that most dynos put in from of the car really isn't enough to test the ram air setup.

"Ram Air" doesn't ram anything. That's not where the gains come from. What its benefit actually is, is in picking up cold dense air from in front of the car, rather than hot thinner air from under the hood or around the radiator. But most always, on a chassis dyno, the hood is open anyway, so the motor typically gets reasonably cool air whether it has CAI or not. If you dyno'ed the car with the hood closed, you might see a considerable difference, with or without CAI (Cold Air Induction, affectionately known for some reason as "Ram Air")
