Alternator Change?

How hard is it to change an alternator on an L03? Also where should i get a new one from? Would one from a place like autozone be sufficiant? If not that hard to change, can someone write up some instructions for me? Thanks

take off wire lead.

Loose bolts on alt.

take off belt

take bolts out

remove alt

put in new alt

installation reverse of removal/

Can anyone tell me how to get the two screws on the bottom of the alternator out? I tried different sizes of alan wrenches and that is not working. I might have stripped it a little bit but not too bad. Is there a certain tool for this?

you just need the right size socket and a wrench, nothing special about it. dont keep using your allen wrench because you'll just finish stripping it off and then you'll have a problem. when you get these bolts out id buy new ones to replace them with instead of installing these to save headaches later on.

Are you trying to take out the bolts that hold the alternator in the bracket or the small screws that hold the alternator case together?
