will 15x10s fit ??

Hey guys my freind bought a set of Weld Draglites for his drag car but isn't using them. Hes got 15x3.5 in the front with new tires on them and 15x10's in the back with no tires and he said he woudl sell me all 4 rims with the front tires for 400bucks. now the back rims have never been mounted on a car and the front ones were on his bird for like 3 weeks so basically there brand new. Well my question is, would a 15x10 inch weld draglite fit on the back of my car with no modding? Also what woudl be the smallest tire i could put on it and not have it be to small? a 255?? thanks guys. Oh yea does anyone have pics of a bird with the ultralites on there car?? thanks

What backspacing are the rims? I have 15x8 with 5.5" (stock) backspacing. With 28x10.50 slicks I had to beat in the wheel wells but NOT because of the width of the tire but because of their height. If I ran 26" or 27" x 10.5" tires I'd have no clearance problems whatsoever. As long as you have anywhere from 4" to 5.5" backspacing and run the smallest tire (like you said) you'll be fine...

A friend of mine has 15x10's on his 3rd gen. Not sure of the back spacing but he has 295/50R15 BFG Radial TA's on them and they dont rub. But he also has adjustable rear shocks so that might make the diference, and they do stick out of the side of the car abit. Looks sweet though.

smallest tires width wise i would put on a 10 inch wide rim is a 275.. 255's will fit but they wear wrong and look silly.. just make sure the backspacing is correct for your car or your gonna be replacing wheel bearings quite a bit.. slight modifications to the wheel wells are probably gonna be nessicary.. nothin too much just some massaging with a bfh and it would probably help to roll the lip of the wheel well a little

Ok now would a 265/50/15 be fine on the 15x10 inch rim? I work at pepboys and I can get the GLS tires for around 55 bucks a peice in that size. Also My freind said they are 4.5 inch back spacing. Is this bad?? is it gonna look goofy?? And one more thing, How is it driving aroudn with skinnies on a car? IS it really reallu unsafe? thanks

I'm running 15x10 w/ 5.5 back spacing. Tires I would run a minimum of 275's in a radial or 10.5 in slicks, I'm running 27x11.5 Hoosiers right now and have TONS of clearance, no beating anywhere.

This is a from behind veiw to give you an idea how they look with the fender lip. This pic was taken with my old 26x9.5 slicks so they look like low rider tires all stretched out, but the new ones fit/look better.
