Code 42 & 43
I had my car on the road for the first time toady after the rebuild. I picked up code 42 and 43. It seems like the SES light comes on only during "heavy" acceleration. Any ideas?
Engine Specs.
355, flat top pistons, zz4 cam, 10* advanced
code 42: Fault at electronic spark timing circuit OR
Fault at direct ignition system OR
Fault at fuel cutoff relay circuit
code 43: Low voltage at electronic spark timing circuit
Also, I was unable to find a home for this wire. I'm 95% sure it comes from the EST, which makes me suspicious. It has a black wire and a pink with black stripe wire. The car ran fine around the neighborhood over the last couple of days without it plugged in. But now i'm wondering if this wire needs to be plugged in somewhere.

I got one of those codes under extremely hard acceleration when I had my advance at 8* and it pulled it back to 6* and the code wouldnt show up anymore and I also got quicker 1/4 mile times.

but I've only recently been throwing codes.. like,
34. Low voltage (high vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor)
and
54. Low voltage at fuel pump OR
Low voltage at Fuel pump relay OR
Output failure at quad driver module
