R134 to R12 conversion...

I know it sounds kind of stupid but thats what I want to do. The previous owner of my car had it changed over to 134 and I would like to go back to the old style fittings and such, so I can use Freeze12 or R414, which I've heard works more efficiently than 134. Now my hoses say r134 and I have the 134 fittings so would I be able to just get away with changing the fittings for high and low side and flushing out the system?

you can use the r414 with the old fittings or the r134a fittings, just make sure you have the correct hose fittingsfor r12 fitttings, the r414 will work great with either gases (r12 or 134a)

It's legal to recycle, purify, use and sell. It's only illegal to manufacture new.
