will tpi choke a 400?

I want to start building a new motor for the 'maro, I want to go with a 400 small block, I was just wondering if a stop tpi set up would choke it? Is anyone running this set up? what were the results?

YES! it will choke it.

its choking the stock 305 at high rpm.... it can bearly handle the 350.... it would really make you loose alot of that 400s potential.

what would happen? well off the line, you would have the great 400 TQ and the TPI helping you.... right up until it maxxes out on air... probly around 2500rpm... lol

and if you build your 400 for nice high rpm power, then it would be even worse.

keep the TPI injection, but get a diff manifold. like the LT1 conversion or the stealth ram.. dont even bother with the modded tune port type. they still restrict breathing, and they cost too much...

Stealth ram is a very excellent setup, I would go with it.

Well, depending on the VE of the 400, it may not choke it until you reach about 3,500 RPM.

Ported LT1 intake, anyone? The GMPP Ramjet 502 makes 510 HP through the 48mm TB, so don't even go there...
