I got a lunati cam, 218/218 @.050, with a 110LSA. You shouldnt really have a problem. You will lose some idle. If you are REALLY picky about your idle, send it back and go for the 112LSA. Did you say it was already installed?

I have a 110LSA comp cams. The idle is just fine. You will notice every once in a while that is not smooth as silk, but then you're not driving a Caddilac are you ? lol

I have heard that 110 Lobe Sep. will not work right with the stock computer. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks.

Valve overlap is what messes with the computer. A large amount of valve overlap will cause erratic vacuum at idle and low vacuum through the low/mid range. A cam ground with a tight LSA will have more overlap than the same cam with a wider LSA. Now, duration also effects overlap. You could have 108 LSA, but mellow duration and not have much overlap. You could also have 112 LSA and an agressive cam with lots of duration and the overlap will be increased. It all depends on the grind.

Are you sure you’re looking at the LSA and not “installed lobe center”? These two are confused all the time.

MD,

You read my thoughts. The combination of duration and LSA is the key, not just a single specification.
