you can get 350 engines anywhere that sells engines, all differant power levels and induction systems. t56 or tremac is the more common 6 speeds people swap into a thirdgen f body

I believe the Tremec comes with all the stuff you need when you are doing a T5 to T56 swap.

Personally, I would start with suspension. Also, you may need to get a new hood if you go with a new engine.

What do you mean suspension. Is her suspension going bad or something. I know I'm going to have to go with a different hood on the car. I just don't know what type I should get.

Start with some Sub Frame Connectors. Maybe some Eibach Springs and some new struts and shocks. A Steering Brace and A Strut Tower Brace will help too. Check out the suspension board for more info.

I haven't done much shopping for that stuff. I've only been shopping for the engine and trans. You know how hard it is to find a short shift six speed.

first thing you should do is get subframe connectors, your gonna wanna keep that body from twisting and cracking in half, as far as the 6 speed trans you could always get the aftermarket tremic T-56 with an aftermarket short throw shifter, hurst, B&M, what ever makes you happy, next for the engine there are countless places that sell fully assembled crate motors of any powerlevel you pretty much want, just keep in mind the many weaknesses of these cars, particularly the stock rears, they were origionally designed for a 4 cylinder truck and dont exactly hold up to well to a lot of power, may want to consider a f0rd 9 inch swap or a gm 12 bolt, defently start with the chassis/suspension and then work on the power though, if you look at the link on the top of the board for Spohn he sells the after market t-56's and everything needed to put them in one of these cars, he also sells just about any type of suspension upgrade you could ever want. Make sure you plan on what to do about the rear end if you plan on making some serious power however. Good Luck with your project!!!!!

GTA, please don't mod that beauty too much, and what you do mod make sure to keep the origional parts, thats a beautiful car and being the first produced it will probably be one hell of a collectors item in the future with the origional parts, of course go ahead with the sfcs and the steering braces though, might as well keep her from bendin up on ya!
