I think it froze.

Problem: I was out of town for 4 days I come back to a foot of snow and temps in the teens. I got in my car and tried to start it battery's dead,so I charged it up tried to start it again it still wont start. Was wondering if the engine is froze up. If so what would be the solution to fix it. Thanks Guys.

let it thaw out. look in the radiator to see if you have slush or not. a heat lamp might help, a forced air space heater would be lot better.

Gib,

PRAY that it didn't freeze. You'll be in for a lot of work if you iced the cooling system.

Ed is correct. A space heater directed through the radiator can help, but keep a constant watch over the project, since flames are not the best way to warm up your engine.

i wasn't going to say this but i decided to. first a disclaimer, don't try this at home or on any car, truck, or heavy equipment. ok with that said, long time ago i use to work on heavy equipment. in the winter the deisels wouldn't start, even with big load of either. some of the tricks we used included putting a stingger from a welder on the crank pully or snout and the ground clamp on the fly wheel, or rear part of the block and turnning the welder on for a little while. use to take coffee cans, or anythnig about that size and fill with some fuel oil. put it under the oil pan and light it with a torch. it all works, but i'm not sure i'd do it to anything i owned.
