is this a fuel pump problem?
The car shut off on me and it won't start the motor turns but it won't start.
I sprayed some carb cleaner spray on it and it starts right up but it soon dies. The guy that push me home said it might be a dead fuel pump or maybe a line problem.
Where is the fuel pump on these cars and how hard are they to change?? do i need some special tools or anything? I'm gonna put a few dollars worth the gas in it to make sure i didn't just run out of gas or anything. Could there be any other problem?

There should be a pump on the side of the block, down low, on the pass side, right at the front. AFAIK there isn't one in the tank, but some of these cars got both the block-mounted pump and the in-tank one; so there might be one of each.
It could just be your fuel filter is clogged.
You can tell right away if it's the pump. Disconnect the fuel line from the carb, which requires a 5/8" tubing wrench to turn the flare nut, and a 1" wrench to hold the other big nut still that the line goes into. Take the line loose and put something like a coffee can under it, and crank the engine over, and see if anything comes out as you crank. If it doesn't, you probably need a pump. If gas comes out, the fuel filter is probably clogged. It lives inside the big 1" nut you had to hold still. Take that nut out, and it will be obvious what you need to do.
It's about $15 or less, and pretty easy to change from below.
