L98 heads, which ones ?

It is my understanding that L98 heads had different bolt patterns through certain years. What years would be compatible with my 87 IROC 350 L98 ?

What are you talking about by "bolt pattern"?

If you are referring to the center bolts for the valve covers, then (as above) I think that '87 and above had center bolt valve covers. I have an '87 L98, they are center bolt valve covers.

No, the bolt pattern he is probably talking about is on the heads where it meets the intake. The 2 center bolts were at different angles than the outer bolts. I wanna say it was between 87-89 that it changed but I'm not sure. Someone will know the exact date for sure.

Unless you are talking a Corvette L98 (aluminum heads), they all had the old style bolt angle.
