Not happy

Alright guys I need some help. If you have some time look up these part #'s. Tell me if this sounds right.
All the part #'s are from summit.
A 2 bolt main roller cam block, Eagle 383 (steel crank, hypereutectic pistons) rotating assembly, 9.75 compression, Crane Cams CRN-104224 cam, Dart DRT-10310010 heads (ported), Harlem & sharp 1.6 ratio roller rockers, SLP 1-5/8" primary 3" headers, TPIS big mouth base, AS&M Large tube runners, BBK 52mm throttle body, MSD6AL, MSD coil and wires, 30lb. Ford injectors, FPR, and a Custom chip. My timing was at about 10 degrees advanced and my fuel pressure was at 55psi. I was 2 points to rich. My 383 dyno'd at 260rwhp. I was pissed! I built this engine to be similiar to TPIS's 383 they built.

TPIS's 383 with Large Tube Runners, Big Mouth Intake, ZZ-9 Cam, Ported Vette Heads, and a 52mm Throttle Body.

318.8hp and 515.2tq @3250rpm
403.3hp and 470.7tq @4500rpm

I know I might find a little power in a little more timing and less fuel pressure but come on thats not even close to what I was hoping!!! What do you guys think? Please, please let me know.

That might be a little disappointing after all that work. There are a lot of 350s putting that much power to the ground. The TPI itself may be resitricting your intake, even with the larger runners and base plate.

Depending on how th separk and fuel tables were tailored in your PROM, it may be a problem as well. Was it an altered 350 BIN or a complete rewrite?

Also, the larger injectors and a better injector constant should eliminate the need for higher fuel pressure.

Maybe, I was thinking maybe I should get a ZZ9 cam with my rockers. The difference in the stock cams is;

My cam
Specifications:
Advertised duration: 270 intake/276 exhaust
Duration at .050 in.: 2140 intake/220 exhaust
Gross valve lift: .452 in. intake/.465 in. exhaust
Lobe separation: 112 degrees

ZZ9
Intake Exhaust Advertised duration 282 287
Duration at .050 212 226
Gross lift .483 .520
Lobe separation 112

Then get a new chip? What do you think about that?

In my opinion that cam is pretty small for a 383.

I think I found the cam I want. Its a comp cams computer controlled cam.
Duration at .050 is 230/244
Gross valve lift .510/.540 and with my 1.6 rockers .544/.576
Lobe seperation 112
RPM range 2,00-6,000

What you think about that cam?
