Question & Story
Ok, there is what I would describe as a grinding coming from my right front tire as a make hard left turns. Seems to me that this could only be a bad bearing.
For some reason I decided to let my friend (who is a mechanic) change the bearings for me. Long story short it took him about 30 - 45 min to change the bearings on the front 2 wheels. After driving a day or so I realize that the sound is still there (maybe not as bad).
SO... my 2 questions are: Considering the time he took do you think the work was actually completed. What other problems could be the source of this noise?
Thanks!

I'd check for the rim hitting something like the a-arm.

if the ball joints are worn the wheel could be folding just enough to touch the tie rod end.
if you want to check that jack the wheel up on the A arm (so the wheel is under load) and push on the tire at the 12 oclock and 6 oclock posistions you should have no play. and you can also check your tie rod play by doing the same pushing technique at the 3 and 9 position.

GTA88 it sounds like you need wheel bearings. using the method i have up listed above check that wheel for the bearings also pull the wheel off and see if there is any scoring on the back side of the rim or tire
