manual steering box

how hard is it to switch to manual steering. i've herd all you need is a S10 manual box and it bolts in and thats it. have any of you guys switched to manula steering.

It's a direct bolt on. You can use the S10 pitman arm but the angle is a little different. I installed the camaro's pitman arm on my manual box.

Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!

Use an '85-90 s10 or some s15's box and install it with the camaro pitman arm. I actually had to hammer the frame rail slightly to get mine to fit.

I run an older Chevy Monza box in mine,
and I had to swap pitman arms.

a new rebuilt one is around 130 from autozone here, plus core charge, i bought mine from a friend for 50 dollars.

my car only goes in a straight line so turning and parking aren't a problem. i ithnk for a daily driver i'd stick with power
