A car in that condition around here would pull maybe $3500 american. These cars just aren't to the point yet where they can start to command the higher prices. Maybe another 5-10 years it'll be to that point.
I'd also take the "lady driven" comment with a grain of salt. I know just as many, if not more women who beat there cars compared to men

i understand this but yet it is very very very hard to find a camaro around alberta that isn't beat to hell. sure there are tones of 3000-5000 camaros altho they are all 80-85 and beaten to hell. i think im going to go for it due to the facts i stated above altho is the carbed 302 good or what?? what mods can you do to get more power or should i just save my money and buy a 350 crate?

302? A carbed 302 is good, but GM hasn't put one in a Camaro since 1969.
Its got a 305. They are ok for a daily driver, but don't expect a fire breather. If you want to mod the 305, I'd do headers and exhaust first, those are whats holding it back the most. Then get a new air cleaner... the stock one would have a single snorkel on it. Get either a 5.0L HO air cleaner (2 snorkels) or an open element air cleaner.
Pretty nice looking car though, but it better be as good as they say for a $7500 asking price. I'd say 5-6 is a little more reasonable.

Hey AlbertaFbody, good to see another Red Deer guy in here.
I would have to agree that 7500 or even 7000 is a bit steep. You should be looking at about 6000 tops. But I also agree, it's pretty tough to find a third gen around here that isn't full of rust or been abused all it's life.

I forgot to mention. If you haven't bought that car yet, go over to Four Wheel Performance Parts and check out Steve's 84 Iroc. Last I checked he wanted 8800 for it, which translates to 8000. And believe me, that car would be worth every penny. He has beefed up almost every piece of that car because he ran a 406 in it for a year or so. He sold the engine and put the 305 HO back in it, but that's all he changed, so it would be ripe for another hi performance engine!!

Hi Guys:
Just judging by what I see around here (LA Area) you are paying too much for a carbed 305 car, no matter how clean.
Also, here in the states anyway, there were no carbs available in '88 on any F bodys. Are you sure it's not Throttle Body injection? They are easily mistaken for carbs, but perform more like a 2 BBL. If it has a round air cleaner, it's probably a Throttle Body Injected car, and lets just say that they are not especially sought after.
Good luck
