Valve spring question
Hey guys the max lift i am going to be running is .564 max..... are these springs any good?
Spring Pressure Installed: 135# @ 1.750" -- 115# @ 1.800"
Spring Pressure Open: 335# @ 1.250 -- 360# @ 1.200
Coil bind @ 1.170"

If set up exactly perfectly, they will just barely barely be enough. A very small error, and you'll wipe cam lobes.

its roller cam, i didnt know they can be wiped like a flat tappet, can u recommend a nice affordable spring?

If its the 282hr cam likein your sig, why done you run the springs Comp recommends. THe 986-16's or the 987-16's. The 987's would seem, to me at least, to be the more preferable spring.

i didnt know what springs to run with it. i got the cam off a friend for 100$ but this is kinda a budget build and really cant afford nice springs... so thats why i was looking at the z28's..

is the cam in the engine? Is it possible to look at the rear of the cam, on the rear face, by the distributor gear? You will see the grind info there.

its in the engine... the head guy is very good, alot of people recommend him... and alot of the fl-thirdgen members are telling me not to worry the springs will be fine....
