I am gonna change my spark plugs soon for the first time. I bought the car used so I have no idea when they were last changed and this is my first car so I have never changed plugs before. Anyone have any tips for me??

And use plain old Delco plugs, but if you fancy so called "performance plugs" use Delco Rapidfires!

If you have headers consider the BOSCH +4s ... alot of guys dont like them, but if you are cramped for space ie. DYNOMAX headers, these plugs are shorter than DELCOs. Also, dont be afraid to buy a spark plug socket and grind it down to make it shorter to fit over the plugs. The rubber grommet on the inside of the spark plug socket can be removed for extra clearance.
Most importantly do not forget to warm the engine up first to ease the plugs out and put a little oil on the threads of the new ones.
Happy wrenching

First buy headers, then remove manifolds, then remove plugs, install new plugs, and install headers. actual working on plugs time: about 3 minutes.
but seriousally, stick w/ the delco's, I've never heard anyone complain about them and people always complain about performance ones. You might want to replace your wires too, i did delco's and taylor 8mm wires w/ my exhaust this winter and got 3mpg out of the deal.

Make sure you check the gap on the plugs. For my 91 RS w/305 they should be gapped at 35. Plugs don't always come out of the box gapped correctly. If you do the wires also do a distrubtor cap and ideally a new coil. Keep the old coil for back up.

I have edelbrock TES headers on mine with the air-tubes cut off.
I easily get my plugs from uptop. Probably becuase I do not have anything under the hood anymore. I just use a spark plug socket and a wrench to get all mine out. Its cake.
