Which Would Give More Power?
When I bought my car the motor was completely rebuilt bad *** from the bottom up but I dont know how much of a fan of the T.P.I, I keep seeming to have problems with starting and stupid stuff and it seems like the motor starves out after a certain rpm, a buddy of mine said he would trade me his edelbrock performer intake and 750 edelbrock carb and hei for my setup and give me $200.00. I'm thinking I'm gonna go ahead and do it, i think that the carb will give it a lot more power becuase the injectors and throttle body are completely stock the only thing that has been changed are the runners. Just wanting your opinions....

The TPI and performer will both kill horsepower. The performer is a stock replacement manifold, not a performance piece. The TPI stop making power alittle after 4000rpm. Not good for hp but pretty good a making torque. You car will be slow with either of them.

If your going to go carb I would get a 750cfm vacuum secondary holley (if you have a bit of power) and a edelbrock rpm performer air gap intake.

Edelbrock performer RPM and RPM air-gap are excellent manifolds. The air-gap make more power then a Victor JR. all the way up to 5500 rpm or something close to that.
Fuel injection costs 10 times the price of a carb setup. It would be nice to have a good fuel injection setup, but its not worth it.

*couch* LT1 Intake *Cough*
Haha, just messing, although its still a cheap alternative if your into fabricating yourself. Rather than spend $1000+ for a holley or stealth ram, you can spend $400 or get your own intake and do it yourself for about $175. You'll see noticable gains, the car won't be as torquey down low, but you'll feel a lot more power up top. Just something to think about if you decide against going carb. www.lt1intake.com for info.

Yeah but then you have to buy all the sensors, MAP or MAF, O2, and a bunch of others. Also you have to buy expensive fuel injectors, fuel pump, and ....
