Anyone know the cam specs for the '85 LB9?

I know they're different than later years, just want to figure out what my lift will be with 1.6 roller rockers that I want to get and see if it's worth it. I want to get away from the stamped steel regardless, and I figure for a few dollars more what can it hurt to put 1.6s in??

Thanks, I got it. Anyone know what has to be done as far as modifications if I want to go to a full aluminum roller rocker?? Roller tips don't mean much to me, I just want the strength of a full bodied rocker instead of the POS stamped steel stock ones.

Also, am I looking for 3/8" or 7/16" roller rockers? I found these on E-bay, should they work?

You will need 3/8" if its stock otherwise. It should be a bolt in unless you run into pushrod slot problems, but I dont think you will.

Thanks Max, what about this self aligning/non-self aligning stuff?? When I look at the pushrod slot it has very little side to side room but there's plenty of room on the top & bottom. Do I have guideplates?

No, you dont have guideplates. The self aligning rockers were used on 87 or 88 up centerbolt heads, so theres no worries there. That slot in the head is what guides the pushrod on your car and lots of others. Later ones had a large hole and the self aligning rockers. You will want the non self aligning ones.

Thanks a lot Max... you've been a great help. I just won those rockers too, so I should have them pretty soon. Thanks again.
