Radiator cap won't fit my Griffin radiator... need ideas ASAP!

To anyone with a Griffen radiator, what radiator cap do you use? I tried my stock 17psi cap, but it appears to be too small. Water just pours out of the small hole into the catch can. I don't think it is long enough... any ideas?

well you could change radiators to fit the cap you have.

Kinda' remainds me of the old routine... "Raise the radiator cap, push the car from under it, push in a new car, and lower the cap."....

OK... I expected a dumbass answer from Ede... but et tu Vader! It looks like the neck of the radiator is a little too deep for the gasket to seal tightly.

It's so loose, that with the car off and cooled, I can squeeze the upper hose and hear air going inand out of that small hole in the neck! Maybe it's time to run Evans NPG

I have the same thing. griffin 31x19. But mine seems to stop peeing through the overflow once its warm. Now that I think about it I do add coolant all the time though maybe they make a deeper cap. Have to talk to griffin about that one.

The only problem with this is finding someone strong enough to hold the radiator cap, while you lift and rotate the car underneath it

I used a stant replacement with no probs. They have them lever-vent caps, but with the griffin it hit my hood, so I had to get the regular cap.
