there are two sensors on each side of the motor by the exhaust manifolds. What are they?

The ones IN the exhaust manifolds should be 02 sensors. I'm not sure if your cars (V8's) have dual sensors or not. I know mine has only one.

There is an oxygen sensor on the drivers side and an oil pressure sensor on the drivers side. i'm not sure what's on the passenger side...

on the v-8's, you also have a temp sensor (for the guage) on the driver side and a coolant temp sensor on the pass. side (for the fans I believe)

Driver's side between the #1 and #3 cylinders in the head is the temp sensor for the dash gauge.

Passenger's side between the #6 and #8 cylinders in the head is the passenger fan switch for dual fan setups, or its the fan switch period for the single fan setup.

Below that in the block is the knock sensor.

yes, I believe that should do the trick. But if the harnesses are diff. you might have yet another problem.......time to splice and crimp

What do you mean the sensors dont fit? What year 355 do you have? They should fit any 87+ 350 or 305.
