should i go with the accel manifold or edelbrock manifold?
i know for sure im going superram, but if the edelbrock (after porting) flows better, then i wanna go that route. anyone know first hand?
not to mention teh cheaper price.

he probably means better quality, better airflow, and the price of course. Why not use edelbrock?

there is nothing wrong with edelbrock at all run it just get a good manifold not the cheapest one they carry ...thats why most guys here dont like them they will buy the cheapest of everything then come back and bash a good product .

after i posted i figured this belonged in the TPI boards, but i ment between the accel base and the edelbrock base for my TPI setup.

i don't like edlebrock for two reasons, i like other peoples products better and it seems to me they have no quality control, or in other words they build junk.
well when comparing the edelbrock TPI BASE to the accel TPI base, which one flows better and going to provide me with more power

If there are any two products that would likely be similar from one mfgr to another it would have to be TPI baseplates. There's just not much that can be changed. They cast them with more material and leave the openings slightly larger for more flow than stock. But outside of that what can they do? It still has to bolt up to a set of SBC heads and a set of TPI runners. With limitations like that, it's hard to find any room for variation.
I guess I could be wrong, but I think that those two products are near identical.

im not too familiar with TPI quite yet, so i wouldnt know.
edelbrock is by far cheaper, about 140 bucks cheaper.
howver i do think the edelbrocks raise the whole TPI plenum up a little bit. anyone care to fill me in?

Mebbe a head shop... the kind that does flow bench testing, could tell you something.
Or maybe you could find a store that stocks both and have them show you one of each and see if it looks like they're any different.
Lingenfelter designed the S/R and he has some books out too so maybe there'd be some flow tests in there.
Wonder why the price diff between edelbrock and accel?
