starter metal tube for wires

Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
starter metal tube for wires

anyone have a diagram or photo or description of how the metla tube that protects the starter wires from the exhaust bolts up. mine has been apart for so long i can not seem to see the proper way to mount it

I don't recall any conduit for wires on my '89...sure you're not thinking about the tube that goes to the cat?

positive it has wires in it and always has tube for cat is gone since no more air pump. it protects the wires from the heat of the exhaust manifold

I know the tube you refer to; my car had one. I just don't know how it was bolted up

What JDM said- one bellhousing bolt. Other end of the tube often looks like it has a flange to bolt onto the starter (some applications) but, in fact, bolts to nothing on that end. Just hangs out in the breeze on the other end.
