Heads for a daily driver??
what type of heads is best for a daily driver on a 400sbc alumnium or cast iron. Want to run 9.5comp and was thinking of thr edlebrock rpm preformer package??
i don't like edlebrock parts, but that's me. i'd run iron heads for 9.5 compression and on the street.

I like the Edelbrocks as well as the Dart Pro 1's and AFR's. But if you decide to do the RPM "package", do not use the cam that comes with it. Get a Comp Extreme cam....alot better cam IMHO.

Nothing wrong with Edelbrock. Just everybody seems to want them and they don't bother researching any others. Like for instance:
Canfield Cylinder Heads makes a pair for 400 sbc with the steam holes. I have no price but the have the same specs as the over rated Edelbrock's and probably 3/4 the price. There aluminum so you need a good head gasket to avoid leaks, but you save like 50 - 80 lbs over the irons.
