Low Power

Ok guys, this POS Talon Turbo wanted to race, so i gave it to him, and after i won, my power stearing went dead and my heat went way up and my battery level went way down. What is it?

why don't you open your hood and look. if you have an early model car you will have V belts. If you have a later model you will have one serpentine belt.

i know i have a serpentine belt, the car still runs just fine, just that the heat shot up and battery power went down and so did the power steering.

Ok for one, the car is at school, and for two, the oil was chagned about 2 weeks ago. thank you. I will find out within the hour about the belt

Like me!! I'm getting close to 4,000 I think... Mobil DriveClean 10W-30 and a AC Delco PF454S filter though and the oil looks good. I just have to get around to changing it (gonna have plenty of time this weekend).

Anyways, back to the topic, I guarantee its a belt as mentioned above. Does your AC work (if you have AC)? Can you even start your car anymore (without the belt, the alternator can't charge the battery)? What year is the car that would determine V-belts or serpentine.

This reminds me, I need a new belt as well. Trying to hold off until after I pass emissions so I can get a shorter belt to remove the AIR pump..
