Afr heads ?
Thinking about getting Afr 195cc emissions legal cylinder heads and was wondering what i should get the chambers milled down to get compression ratio a little higher than stock ? Car would keep the stock pistons. form searchin i found the stock ones are 64cc so what would a 62cc chamber give me for c/r

On a street motor, you wouldn't notice any difference. Dont bother cutting it to 62cc.

Just read on a website that the 180cc afrs outflow the old 190's. and it says the 195s are better for a 383 setup. I don't have anyplans for a 383 anytime soon so sould i just go with the 180's? will i even see a diffrence? i'll probally only do a mild cam and intake manifold and some porting to the stock plenum

I know I'll probally get slammed for this but, I bought the 180cc Heads. I was told by two independent tpi builders that those heads would be better suited for a 350 even with an LT1 Intake. I have not put them on the car yet. My car is still in pieces. I'm sure they will work fine.

I don't think you're going to go far wrong with either choice. The 180s outflow the 190/195 heads by a very slight margin below .450 lift. And, of course, the smaller runners will give better velocity and probably make better low-midrange torque despite the fact that the flow is really about the same as the larger heads at modest lift levels.
If you only plan on lifting the valves .500" or less and running under 6000 RPMs or so, the 180s would probably be a better choice. If you plan on more lift than that and/or spinning the motor higher than that you would probably want the larger intake ports.

I had them machined down to 60cc. I wanted to bump up my compression a little. The work was done on at AFR. They had to angle mill the heads. I didn' trust any local machine shop.

From what I understand, with the heads I'll be at 9.5 to 1. I was at 9.1 to 1 with 64cc heads. I though heck, if I'm getting aluminum heads, why not bump up the compression a little. I'm no expert though.
