new motor start up qustion
i jsut droped in a modified 350 into my origonaly 305 tpi camaro just a few qustions
1) the engine is a little hard to start at first then it turns on and puters alittle and then if i give it gas it idles fine but when i give it alot of gas after its warmed up it dies but if i just graduall give it gas it works fine
2)there is kind of a clanking sound coming from the botom end and i noticed that the balencer wobels alittle bit, i guess it didnt go on streight, could that be the noise? or the timing chain? the noise isnt very load

Sounds like a timing/distributor issue. Pull distributor out and bring motor up to TDC compression storke, install distributor and make sure it'spointing at #1 on the cap when the timing mark is on TDC mark on balancer then be sure all wires are routed correctly. Might just be as easy as the distributor being off a tooth.

If the balancer is wobbeling you need to at least get a new balancer or try pressing it on further. That could spell disaster.

[Morley] You are mistaken, Accel produces nothing but immaculate and superior injector sets. If you hear anything other than that ignore it, it is a lie or misinformation from ignorant children as I am the premier authority on the subject. [/Morley]
The balancer wobbles when you view it from the side? It wasn't installed correctly. When you take it off inspect the crank snout and threads for damage.

They fought the fuel rails and the fuel rails won...
They fit fine. I even used the locks without a problem, though it ran a tad rich.
