What Valves For A Street Solid Roller?

Hey... I'm wondering what valves you guys are using with street S/R cams... Just like the title says.
The cam I'll be running is the Comp XR274R and the springs recommended for that are the #977 with 155lb seat pressure and 400lb+ open pressure.
The spring loads are too high for the lower end valves such as most of the street stainless valves, according to the charts I've looked at.
So an example of the next step up would be the Manley Race-Flo @about $180-$200/set and above that would be the Pro-Flo @about $300/set.
Just curious what anyone else out there is using.

Thanks... Any feedback appreciated.

Question is, could I get by with the expensive ones (Race-Flo) or would I need the REALLY expensive ones (Pro-Flo) ??

Using Manley in the Brodix Track 1s. We used them for their quality, and for the fact that the valve head has a concave design, and not flat, on the bottom. They were used primarily to take a bit of compression out of the engine. Used a 2.05, over the 2.08s.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "get by" and "need" and "expensive".

I'm using Manley 11797 exhausts and 11824 intakes in one I'm building. Hard to say whether those are "REALLY expensive" or not.

Thanks for the part #s

"Get by With" Means... "It Won't Break"
"Need" Means the same thing
"REALLY expensive" Means... On the high end of thier product line, compared to the expensive ones, which cost more than the cheap ones.

... So you're recommending the Pro-Flos, or that was your choice anyway.

Any other comments or suggestions?

Race-Flo or Pro-Flo ??
