intermittent wipers dont work

Hello all,
I have a quick question about intermittent wipers. I replaced my turn signal / wiper / cruise control lever. The wipers work , slow and fast, but the intermittent does not, if I try to go to intermittent the wipers work in the slow mode in all stages. I can not check out the cruise because my cruise is disconnected, This lever was a brand new lever. The old lever worked with intermittent wipers. How can I trouble this problem. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Brad

You need a new wiper motor cover.

I have not touched the motor or cover in my IROC, but in my winter car (1986 Pontiac) the wiper motor cover has a circuit board and a blue cam to control all the wiper functions. I lost the intermittent functions, and once I turned the wipers on, they would not turn off.

I replaced the cover, and it did the trick.

Did you replace it with a non-interval cover?

If your problem started after you changed the switch, then I'm not sure if replacing the cover would fix it.

I made sure I got the right moter P/N from autozone, I was trying to fix the same problem, and I wasen't sure where to go from there, I figured it was somthing with the wireing and I hate T/S wires.
