How to take a crankshaft out, found tonz of parts
Hey i got an assembled bottom end v8. I'm going to take apart the motor where it's at. I know how to get the cam out, but i want the pistons out so i can get the crank and such. I know i have to turn the motor over and take the oil pan off then theres like U's for the pistons that go around the crank do i just unscrew them off then the piston should rise? Help me out

And, FWIW, you don't actually need to remove the pistons to remove the crank. You only need to remove the rod and mains caps. (and timing chain, or course).
